Walkslim Classes are a mixture of workshops and discussion groups covering goal setting and long term weight management. Guest speakers provide specific input on specialist subjects - including a motivational talk from a personal trainer. All classes are supported by a weekly handout with inspirational ideas you can try between meetings. There's also the option of a confidential weekly weigh-in. |

Background to Walkslim:
The programme is called Walkslim because walking was a key factor in motivating me to take control of my weight rather than my weight controlling me. I'd been on diets most of my life but a couple of years ago I became a qualified life coach. Applying my life coaching skills, I found that once I had dealt with some underlying issues my weight started to go down AND it stayed down. I've lost over 5 stone in the last couple of years. I'm keen to pass on this knowledge and that's why I've created the Walkslim Programme. It combines life coaching with advice on healthy nutrition and inspirational exercise. This combination allows you to take control and achieve and maintain your weight loss goals. In wider terms the name Walkslim encompasses the general philosophy of walking the journey of self-discovery that I am still on and I'm really looking forward to helping you onto the same path.
